| i was at the mae show last night, this song definately grabbed my attention. of course, ive heard it before but i came to new realizations during the course of the song. "driving away, leaving it all behind" its a blind summer love that will never last, but for the time being its everything to you. you wish you could just drive away from the reality of things and stay in this summer romance forever. summer is when things are "perfect" and thats all you want. also, in another sense. this song came on when i was going back to school, leaving behind someone i wish i didnt have to leave. they were right there in front of me and i had to leave, driving away.. leaving "it all" (being the person who is everything to me) behind. not how i assume the song is supposed to be taken but its just another connection i had with the song. atleast i have the summertime... | |
