| wow this is "song meanings.com" but only one person has stated what they thought the song meant. thats sad. they nailed it pretty well though. this reminds me of a personal experience. i wont talk about myself, since i know no one cares but i think this means that they had a relationship, ended the relationship, and then he thought he was ok with it. he then realized that he wasnt. he wanted more. he wanted to love the girl and wanted her to love him back. and if that cant happen rite now, he'll "take what he can get". i can relate to that. hes telling her that hes caught in suspension witgh her, and wants to fell like like that again if she'll give him the chance. | |

| i agree with alaskalover on many levels. add some input as to the song's meaning. stop wasting peoples' time. Lately I'm alright And lately I'm not scared I've figured out That what you did to me feels like Floating on air I don't need to know right now All I know is I believe In the very thing that got us here And now I can't leave *something happened whether someone got taken for granted or overlooked or just passed up. looking back it's something that's regretted. and the person's alright and not scared because they're holding on to this thread of hope that's keeping them there wishing and waiting for something to happen again. whatever it was, it's worthwile and worth waiting for but it's been realized a bit too late. Say anything But say what you mean Cause I'm caught in suspension *just say something, anything to keep me going. just be honest. Now I'm wanting this for sure And I'll beg for nothing more *it's all the person wants, nothing more. just this one thing/person. everything would be fine if they were there. I'll plan all day And drive all night You'll love whats in store *It's consuming the person, they just can't get it off their mind, they're playing it out in their head how great things could really be if given the sliver of a chance. I can't seem to stop this now Even if it's not clear I'll take what I can get *just so hopeless they'll hang off of anything. they'll take any little piece they can get and run with it, just so long as it can keep them in suspension. this place where they can pretend it will be all okay in their head. If you want me here Say anything But say what you mean *just say anything open and honest and i'm going to stick around. but don't say something just for the sake of saying it, or because you don't want to hurt the person.
