Magic Numbers The Biography

For other uses of the term, see magic number

The Magic Numbers are a four piece British indie band originating from Ealing, London. The band consists of two pairs of brother and sister, who came together as a band after Romeo and Sean started writing songs together. They are currently signed to Heavenly Records and their eponymously titled debut album was released on 13 June 2005. In 2005 they supported Athlete, Doves, and Brian Wilson, as well as playing the Glastonbury Festival to a fantastic reception. August saw the band play at the dual-venue V Festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire and Leicester's Summer Sundae.

On 10 August 2005 they walked out of the BBC show " Top of the Pops" after the presenter made a joke which was perceived to be about the body shape of members of the band. During rehearsals Richard Bacon referred to the Magic Numbers as a "big, fat melting pot of talent".
