first of all, those "lyrics" are terrible 2nd, this song was actually written by bob dylan, but manfred mann was the first to sing it. i don't know for sure, but it's said that Dylan wrote this after seeing Anthony Quinn in the role of an Eskimo in a movie called "The Savage Innocents"

Wow... It's a good song, but i'm saddened by this lyric submittal. It's barely in english, to be honest. On another note, does anyone know what the song means?

I knew the song was originally by Bob Dylan, about Anthony Quinn in "The Savage Innocents." But everytime I hear this song I think about my best friend, Robert Quinn and all drunken Irish family. This will always be his and his family's song - those damn Quinns!
