No, sorry, but I know there are a few unreliable resources on the net. I believe that it was proven wrong, but there are still people who believe it is true. Just use a search engine to find it. I am sure you'll find some stuff to read up on as well as a heap of other interesting theories.

I know it's not, but I always thought it was about consumerism, you know the way you're thought that there's something wrong with you and it can only be cured through having the latest car or Gilette razor or whatever. Should 'ianadequacies' not be in brackets LaTragedieHumaine? I'm sorry but it implies homophobia.
