This is THE best live new track the manics played last night. The chords are pretty accurate
I hope!!!
A C#M
Solitude Sometimes Is
D F#M
The place that I would like to live
A C#M
Solitude Sometimes Is
D F#M
When nothing really seems to fit
D A
If black were truly black not grey
C#M E
It might provide some depth to pray
D A
To black out all the worlds of men
C#M E
And demons too but not even then
F#M G# A
Solitude Sometimes Is
A C#M
Solitude Sometimes Is
D F#M
Life that no longer exists
A C#M
Solitude Sometimes Is
D F#M
When there's nothing left to give
D A
If black were truly black not grey
C#M E
It might provide some depth to pray
D A
To black out all the worlds of men
C#M E
And demons too but not even then
F#M G# A
Solitude Sometimes Is
A C#M
Drop your bombs on all I see
D F#M
Leave this world alone for me
A C#M
The thing I need to hide behind
D F#M
It reigns beneath my holy skies

To black out all the worlds of men
C#M E
And demons too but not even then

| Yep i do see that now too actually. have read a nicky wire interview that supports your ideas "paulothemanio". and looking at the line in particular "Drop your bombs on all i see, Leave this world alone for me" does show a longing for a place to be apart from everything else | |

| It's the opposite really. According to nicky, it's actually about wanting to be alone sometimes, because nowadays the emphasis is always on social activities and you are considered a weirdo for wanting to just spend some time with yourself sometimes. I know exactly how he feels, which is why I love this song so much. My friends always want to do stuff and if I suggest that I just want to be alone with my thoughts for a bit they think I am some kind of freak. Just to clarify: I'm not depressed, I just like time to myself now and then. Like Nicky himself said, not even traditionally solitary activities like reading can be enjoyed anymore with, say, joining a book club etc. | |

| I love listening to this song, possibly about being alone without neccessarily wanting to be, which is how i feel pretty often. i love the lyric "if black were truly black not grey, it might provide some depth to pray". it's just classic Nicky lrics. i also love the guitar towards the end of the song, i don't think many other albums live up to the production work used on this song and the lifeblood album. | |
