I agree with Steven. No need to stand up or back down I'll cruise right through. It's also almost the complete opposite personality of John in real life. Great song.

This song is about cool cats like myself who know where they got it going on and how they got there, "smooth and confident," and know what the ladies want, "the ladies love to stroke me." Annoying people who seem to attract attention wherever they go and people think they're better humans just for knowing us ("everywhere I go, I make the scene") and our names get dropped around - "Oh, me and Charise were at this totally bum opening night at Sharkfin but then Steven John showed up and things went out the roof! ..he's such a deadly handsome man!"
