| I think this song is a social commentary. He basically talks about how, as soon as we are evolved enough, we kill ourselves and each other. We change from monkeys into humans, at which point we are able to kill. The same as the creation of the atomic bomb (Had we not become technologically advanced, we could not cause massive death.) | |

| I saw that this song ties into the whole conflict between Darwinism and Christianity: "This is evolution the monkey the man and THEN the gun" Once more making fun of a gun-obsessed society. | |

| I would like to know why the refrence to the working class. The hammer the sickle the only son. I take it as the only son is reffering to Jesus and that maybe that god created classes. THe atom of eden was a bomb I think is reffering to the creation of man, from a Christian stand point. That it was more of a bad thing than good. | |

| Lyrics to the Beatles song Revolution: You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all want to change the world You tell me that it's evolution Well, you know We all want to change the world But when you talk about destruction Don't you know that you can count me out Don't you know it's gonna be all right all right, all right You say you got a real solution Well, you know We'd all love to see the plan You ask me for a contribution Well, you know We're doing what we can But when you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell is brother you have to wait Don't you know it's gonna be all right all right, all right Ah ah, ah, ah, ah, ah... You say you'll change the constitution Well, you know We all want to change your head You tell me it's the institution Well, you know You better free you mind instead But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow Don't you know it's gonna be all right all right, all right all right, all right, all right all right, all right, all right | |

| Lots of Kennedy references in this song and through out Holy Wood. "If Christ was in Texas" being where JFK was shot. "If Jack was the Baptist/ we'd drink wine/ from his head" speaking about how John F. Kennedy was a martyr in American history and how everyone rallied support and praise for him, after he was dead. He died for the people, or at least that's how the people who consider him like Christ perceive it. | |

| "If Christ was in Texas, the hammer, the sickle, the only son." This is talking about David Koresh I believe. He had a communist cult in Texas and probably thought he was Christ. "The atom of Eden was a bomb". This could be a refence to the tree of knowledge. The fruit that gave humans consciousness beyond animals, and now we're destroying the world with our creations. "If Jack was a baptist, we'd drink wine from his head." I think it means people worshiped Kennedy like Christ and he becase a martyr when he was assassinated. "I am a revolution, I'd pull my knuckles down if I could" I think this is making fun of the fact that people see him as a total rebel, or that he has to always play the rebel. "We are dead and tomorrow's cancelled because of things we did yesterday". Could this be a reference to eating the forbidden fruit, or a prediction that humanity will kill itself with the corrution that exists today? There are a lot of theories about the forbidden fruit actually being "magic mushrooms". Containing sacred knowledge. Why did god really not want us to eat it? Anyway, just some ideas. Later guys. | |
