| The album i indeed about the rise of the antichrist, however, dig a lil deeper, and if you seen amny of his interviews about this album, its mainly about America's infatuation with celebritarianism. If you listen to songs like antichrist superstar, mister superstar etc. you can hear it so blatantly. This song to me is about the desperate measure people will go to "conform" to be a "model" society. the opening line is a big give away, "you cut off all of your fingers, traded them for dollar bills" as in, you sell yourself out for so little now you've lost an important part of yourself. I can go on, but it all centralises itself round this idea. | |

| Reading the comments on songmeanings.net makes me want to off myself. You'd have to go to a NASCAR event to find a higher concentration of inbred ignoramuses. I'm ashamed that all of you share 99.9% of my DNA. To stay on topic, this is a concept album. That means the entire album put together tells a story. In the case of Antichrist Superstar the story is of *gasp* the rise of the Antichrist. ps. I'm posting as "heartbreak" because I'm using BugMeNot.
