| Here we go: Adam describing the hollow and absolute uselessness of his and existence, as well as the rest of Death Valley. | |

| Just an interesting side-note: I recall reading a Manson quote that talks about metaphorical places created for the largely autobiographcal concept behind Holy Wood, Mechanical Animals, and Antichrist Superstar. And these places are the Death Valley and Holy Wood. Death Valley is where all the substandard, all the imperfect people are, and Holy Wood is where all the seemingly flawless people are. Just a side-note in case anyone else wondered about these things. It really is an interesting quote, I wish I could remember where I found it... | |

| I think this song is coming from a person who thinks they will never become anything in life, and theres only one person who tries to help this person, but he still can't amount to that person - "She put the seeds in me, plant this dying tree, she's a burning string, and I'm just the ashes". | |
