| This track is meant to go with the imagery he began every show on The Last Tour On Earth with. Television sets formed into a cross with Manson taking the famous pose on this cross. "This isn't me I'm not mechanical." This intro always lead into The Reflecting God, which was s statement of humanity destroying itself. And where is the most comfortable and convenient way to be a witness to our slow and cinematic suicide? That's right, the TV. He takes the role of the saviour of our entertainment. Someone who has died for it. But detaches themself from it to tell us that we're only wasting time, that we could be using to save ourselves. Why do you think The Reflecting God starts off the show? It's a warning. And it's beautiful. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, stop being dumbasses and realize that no artist (especially one like Brian Warner) would make something because it sounds cool or to fill time. It will have meaning. | |
