| I believe this song refers to Twin peaks as a metphor for the world. All of the sickest fuckers in the world own and wear the best masks. They surround themselves with people who they want to look like. (come into our home, won't you stay?) but theyre realy all just hypercrites that try to cover their filth with the "decentcy" mask (i know the steak is cold but its wrapped in plastic) | |

| Wow, this song is almost as abstract as a Tool song, man. (And the opening riff really reminded me of Tool, as well) This song is pretty well summed up by Target Audience, so I'll leave it for you to read. | |

| Allegedly while the band was recording this song with Trent in the house where Sharon Tate lived and was killed, Reznor nicknamed the place Le Pig, the group was working with two twenty-four track machines, running in synch. And supposedly a snippet from "My Monkey" (The song that interpolates a verse from Charles Manson's "Mechanical Man") kept popping up. It was a sample of Charles saying "Why are the kids doin' what they're doin', why did the child reach out and kil his mom and dad?" The team decided to call it an evening. When they resumed work the nexy day, the tapes had returned to normal. | |

| One of the greatest songs of old Manson, while the topic is the same: religion and hypocrisy. | |

| It's generally well accepted that this song is about twin peaks. it was mentioned in interviews when it came out. they even said it live on the tour with NIN in the 90s when the cd first came out. every line is basically a direct reference to twin peaks. "Owls" is a huge reference that runs throughout all of twin peaks. without giving anything away (because you all need to just go out and watch twin peaks), "the owls are not what the seem" is probably one of the most important lines in the series. if you're not at all familiar with the series, basic plot: prom queen is raped, murdered, wrapped in plastic and thrown into a lake. the series is about the investigation of it (at least for about 15 episodes). all the details are found about how the victim (basically thought of as sweet and innocent by everyone) had a life that was spiraling out of control.. | |

| First Of All The Lyric "handcuffes housewives into whores" Is ACTUALLY " Handcrafted housewives into whores" And If You Listen to it, you may even be able to interprit that line as " Handcrafted Owls Wise Into Our Homes" This May seem like a far leap in interpretation, But what about the line that is repeated over, and over "come into our home, won't you stay?" So What's The Big Deal you may ask? What The Hell Does an OWL reference have to do with it. TRUE Manson fans, read my explanations on the following songs, Kinderfeld, Big White World, King kill 33, Meat For A Queen. Here is another proof based on Manson Lyric cross references. Take the line in this song "i know the steak is cold but it's wrapped in plastic" And a line in Meat For A Queen "Throw grubsteaks on the offering plate" The key word is "STEAK" being a metaphor for a child. The steak being cold meaning the child is dead(Spiritually). The Line " You might as well kill yourself because your already dead" makes the connection with the particular death I am referring to. The wrapped in plastic part basically is saying that at least they are well groomed on the outside. As if this is enough to compensate for being dead on the inside. | |

| "Consecrated", I agree. First I wondered why there were only 9 comments, but obviously, the song is pretty summed up by now. And yes, this song is touching, to me it's the part where manson sings "come into our home/wont you stay/i know the steak is cold/but it's wrapped in plastic", it's so emotional and hopeless. | |

| Yeah in Twin Peaks a guy find the seemingly perfect happy rich girl type or something dead and wrapped in plastic and yells "she's wrapped in plastic" | |
