like i said under heart shaped glasses...most of this c.d involves lewis caroll (alice n wonderland author) ....who had a thing for much younger chicks...(rummored to have purposed to a girl at the age of 11 while he was far..far older)...i know that isnt all that goes into the album..(manson HAS already stated that it IS A CONCEPT ALBUM...half of you will need to reread this bracket before posting anything...so i will no repeat for the slower clowd.. IT IS A CONCEPT ALBUM..SAID BY MANSON) ..so there is more to this then just the lewis caroll thing..that being car accidencts..not sure how in the fuck that fits in the mix..but this album probably tells a story... i see the refrence of her being blonde and a child in the first verse..of that of alice....i also see in the chorus...the death wish being that he wants to be with her..despite how looked down apon that is (specialy being that caroll was also a priest) and the line that REALLY grabs me is "your like a birthday" ..the since i get out of this...is that..like birthdays...she makes him relize how old he is ..pointing out his mixed emotions on his feelings for her...thus making the point of songs like this and evidence...(one of my favs on the c.d.)

i think the song is abour how he is glad that his marrige was over in some ways but still is struggling to let it go,'i should have burried all my dead up in her cemetery head' could mean that he could have started a new after the divorce but he is still the mess that dita turned him into...and the chorus seems to me like he was choosing to act how she wanted him to than his fans,'blow out the candles on all my frankensteins' could mean that he didnt care about his fans any more, frankensteins being a metaphor for the fanbase that dress like goths and act creepy, and his deathwsh being his label as a satanic idol and a bad influence on teens. the rest of the chorus seems to be about how it seemed okay at the beggining but in the end he wasnt happy, 'i shoud have picked the photograph it lasted longer than you' suggests that he should have stuck with being just a fan of ditas than actually marrying her.

Ever heard a song so great that it gives you chills? I am a very picky person when it comes to good music, I have to agree that this song is brilliant, beautiful, and almost perfect, instumentally and lyrically. WOW. As far as the meaning, kainrally has it nailed.

In my opinion this is the best song on the CD. After hearing Heart Shaped Glasses I didnt think Manson would have that many "quality" songs on this CD but I've got to say that Putting Holes In Happiness, Red Carpet Grave, You Me and the Devil make 3, and They Say Hell's Not Hot are good songs.

[Blow out the candles On all my frankensteins At least my death wish will come true You will taste like Valentine’s We cry You’re like a birthday I should have picked the photograph It lasted longer than you] The song's about leaving all of your past relationships and moving on, reoccurring references to candles and birthdays signify how love is pointless and systematic- something that comes and goes every year... Amazing song by the way, the whole album is amazing. Hope everyone picks it up.

It is a good song, though the riff is taken from Alice Cooper's I Love the Dead
