| Most of his albums have a very distinct feel or theme tied to them. GAOG is angry and also has alot of political and sexual ovetones. He is also more cocky then before lyric wise. But if you can tell it is highly germen influenced, not only the lyrics an themes but the music itself. Perhaps the reason some people don't dig it is because of the introduction of Tim Skold of KMFDM fame into the band, this has given it a whole new feel. Oh, and a Doppleganger is a mythological being that would assume the form of a person and attempt to kill them and take over their life. | |

| All of us - parade girls, manically depressed etc. are athe ones who are expected to lost against the government. We are being controled by the government and we like it.[We got our "Venus not in furs" but "in Uniforms"] and if we dont "dance" [play along/follow rules] they will punish us The People that realize try to tell us through song and speach that "the toys are us" but we dont care, were "all the same" [doppelgangers] People gain persuasive powers as they get wealthier. [silver tounged = having persuasive power and substance can also mean money/riches] We could take out the ones in charge if we wanted and "fill up our glasses" to victory. | I dunno... I mean, I love Marilyn Manson, and all his stuff rocks my boxers... but... this Album has to be my least favorite by him. It feels to me like he sort of sold out. This album didn't speak to me like "Mechanical Animals" or "Anti-christ Superstar" did. It was a letdown for me. It's all catchy music and everything but... I dunno, I guess I'll just have to wait for him to come out with another Holy Wood... | |
