This Love

Bº, Cm, Fm, Dº

Bº Cm
I was so high I did not recognize
Fm
The fire burning in her eyes

The chaos that controlled my mind
Bº Cm
whispered goodbye as she got on a plane
Fm
Never to return again

But always in my heart

Chorus:

Cm Fm Bb Eb
This love has taken its toll on me
Cm Fm Bb Eb
She said Goodbye too many times before
Cm Fm Bb Eb
And her heart is breaking in front of me
Cm Fm Dº Bº
I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore

Cm, Fm, Dº

Bº Cm
I tried my best to feed her appetite
Fm
Keep her coming every night

So hard to keep her satisfied
Bº Cm
Kept playing love like it was just a game
Fm
Pretending to feel the same

Then turn around and leave again (oh!)

Chorus:

Fm
I'll fix these broken things
Ebmaj7
Repair your broken wings
Dº Cm
And make sure everything's alright (it's alright)
Fm
My pressure on her hips
Ebmaj7
Sinking my fingertips

Into every inch of you

Cause I know that's what you want me to do

I think this song is about a relationship that the chic keeps walking out on, and he still thinks it can work.

I must agree with 'chichulapiuka' this is the explanation I feel most. He says he tried to satisfy her appetite, (I tried my best to feed her appetite Keep her coming every night) and I have reason to believe that the other spelling for coming could also suit this entry. As for now, he's fed up with fishing her back in, although she's appears to have changed, as (And her heart is breaking in front of me) doesn't imply physical only. But he's just had enough, he won't try any more! Excellent song, but a bit short!

Quite possibly my favorite song. I just know that if someone ever wrote something to profound about me, I wouldn't know what to do. It would touch all of my being.. "I don't mind spending everyday out on your corner in the pouring rain..."

I've always needed a life-quote, don't ask me why, I just needed one. And the lines "It's not always rainbows and butterflies. It's compromise that moves us along." hits me hard. I may not quote it everywhere, but it has become somehting I'll never forget. Their whole album is perfection. Their album as Kara's Flowers is pretty kick-ass too. But nothing beats Led Zepplin. Nothing.

I love Maroon 5 & Songs About Jane is a great album. This song is by far the best on there. & like anna & Dragon said, "It's not always rainbows & butterflies/it's compromise that moves us along" are the best lyrics.

I'd have to say that this song is about sex. No doubt. And how the relationship is strictly about the physical aspect. I could be wrong, but that's what I think it means.

I love this song. "I know where you hide Alone in your car Know all of the things that make you who you are I know that goodbye means nothing at all Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls" This song makes me realize that what I have is so amazing. I know that he'll be there when I need him. He knows everything there is to know about me.

i think this song depicts an insensitive man and the girl is constantly being fed up about it but still considers the man. and then... the man is already used of the girl's saying goodbyes but didn't actually mean it and at the end the man promises to do everything the girl wants him to do ever since. i think so... cool style of music...
