| i'm not even going to tell my perspective of this song because so many of you have voiced it over and over...but i do love this song...almost as much as i love "better that we break"...although i do believe that the two songs go very well together... i love this cd...it's great...of course i hate that we had to wait for so long for it to come out...but it was worth the wait...i can't wait till they go on tour... | |

| Some people are probably just not meant to be together. He loves him. She loves her. The petty quarrels don't matter, you figure you just don't know each other that much yet. You figure you can work it out. But you're wrong. Sometimes, even if you try your damn hardest to make it work, it just doesn't (especially if the other isn't working on as much as you are). Eventually, the two of you just end up fighting, bickering, and hurting each other. And when this happens, you just have to accept the sad reality that you two are going nowhere, 'cause later on, the sadness and hurt will outweigh all the great love you have for the other. Damn right, the best song from this album :P | |

| I could be wrong but this is what i think some of the words actually are. The middle one doesnt make all that much sense, unless its in like a 'you're there, but not emotionally/wanting to be there' way. "before the sadness kills us both" "and you show up but you're not there" "a bed thats warm with memories" Anyway. I love this song, definitley the best on the new album. | |

| It's "It would fall down while I'm asleep." Quite easy to hear, and 'won't' makes no sense. First song I fell in love with from the album. I feel that this album is a thousand times better than Songs About Jane (and that's not to say SAJ is a bad album, it's lovely as well). | |

| First of all, wow. I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful. I think this might be my favorite song from It Won't Be Soon Before Long. I think this song is about two people in a relationship that are just growing so distant that they need to end it, even if he still loves her. There's nothing left to do. He's tried to heal it and fix their problems but she's just not putting in the same effort, so he's letting her go. As much as it hurts him to do it, he knows it's for the better. It's just that point in a relationship where the love just starts to fade, even if you don't want it to, and breaking up is inevitable. | |

| I think this song is about a guy who is in love with a girl who wants to love him back but doesn’t know, so she says she doesn’t know, and though he tried to wait for her, he’s losing hope (I tried and tried to let you know, I love you but I'm letting go, It may not last but I don't know, I Just don't know), and eventually he just can’t wait any longer… which is why he is letting go. He thinks that if she doesn’t know then she cant care as much as he does (“if you don’t know than you cant care” ) and every time they try to talk about it they only end up arguing, which is why he says “with every word whispered we get more far away” & “The misbehaving only makes, The ditch between us so damn deep”. I think she doesn’t love him because she’s been in relationships where they told each other that they loved each other and then they ended not to long after and that’s why he says “…you want to, Still afraid that I will desert you”. I also think that she doesn’t really trust him for the same reason and that’s why he says “But you're still too reluctant to accept my help, What a shame I hope you find somewhere to place the blame”. | |
