The Mars Volta
Inertiatic ESP
Tabbed by: Robe
E-mail: r_nietzsche@hotmail.com

Standard tuning. This is one difficult song to tabbed but I did my best work.

The solo is kind of difficult, ^Ñcause of the timing and the effects.
However, you may play along the E, B, G strings. I came up with some
similar notes though is not right. Is the same for the end of the song
but you may use an expression pedal. Any comments or suggestions please
send it to my mail:

yeah, a bunch of dark PSAT words and relying on the legacy left by ATDI for people to listen, no wonder this album got panned.

De-Loused in the Comatorium is actually a concept album

The proper lyrics are not "Now I'm lost." They're supposed to be "Now I'm loused." The entire album is about becoming "De-Loused." It's very simple, people.

your post made me a little upset boss_2k to tell you the truth, they didn't just stick random words together hoping that it would eventually turn into a hit, this song is about someone being so addicted to drugs and now he's completely fucked up because of it...it's gotten so bad he's in a coma and everything about him is just fading and falling apart, like the song says, he's completely lost

Cant BELIEVE this hasn't got a better reception. It was the first single they released over here in England and blew everyone away: they put track 1 & this (track 2) together, so it sounded more like a conventional single than it does on the album. The lyrics, in my view, mean fuck-all. They're just a bunch of foreigners who've stuck a few phrases together and hoped for the best... sounds good though!

People who are confused should definately take their time to read the comments for "Son Et Lumiere" and/or do your research before you post meaningless comments on here. The album and the book that goes with it is about Julio. The book explains in greater detail what has happened. There are fictional fantasies in the book also, but the base is the truth, it tells about the coma state of Julio. The book and the album is also chronological, if you have read the book you would have seen the lyrics from the album inserted in there. The album and the book flow perfectly telling about the state of Julio as he enters the coma, and to the death of Julio. TMV, the album, and the book are masterpiece. Also to note, Cedric Bixler Zavala does not write the entire ablum or the book, most of the band has input on the lyrics and the music.

I agree with watchingyou. the terms "pinkeye fountain" and "pinkeye flight" refer to when heroin addicts pull some blood out of their vein with a syringe to make sure they are not injecting any air. Also the spasmotic pulsating beats of sound before the actual song starts represent the heroin pulsating through the body and starting to take effect, followed by cedric screaming "now im lost" when the drug has taken full effect.
