| THe lyric booklet is the story though too. It's a cool booklet. 24 pages it tells the whole story with the lyrics interwinded in there. A must buy for only $3, even though some people are getting away with selling ti for $17 on ebay because GSL is out. | |

| Is it even possible to mind the meanings of these lyrics? I don't think so. I can make up some lyrics right now that sound Mars Volta-ish. Minced-meat eyelid of the cocoon's nest derailed in the ambigulatorum after dusk prevails serpent hisses. HA. That's what Mars Volta lyrics are to me. It's like... trying to read Russian. I listen to the music. | |

| Boss_2k, that's pretty ignorant. It's completely conditional, there's no use tearing apart At the Drive-In's or the Mars Volta's lyrics because you won't discover any inevitable truth at the end of your search. And that's because there isn't one. "Now I'm lost," "I am to go," so many of their lyrics are about searching and so few are of finding. Their intelligent and intimidating lyrics usually don't flood anything over, it's not about ripping anything apart. When did we lose sight of the music? | |

| acantu05, when someone writes a poem or lyrics to a song, the meaning is more apparent to them because they wrote it, if you actually want to know what the song means do just like VThokie said, grab a dictionary and a thesaurus and add it all up, dont expect to know every word in the english language, and no you cannot write lyrics like ATD-I or Mars Volta, so dont ever try again, thanks | |
