Rembember the night they first played this at iMusicast. I think it's not really about commercialism or anything like how Christmas has changed, more just about how everyone gets so romantic around Christmas and you should be able to just chill. It's not criticizing holiday romance, he's talking to a girl about how they should just "hibernate"...yup.

I think they're kind of being satirical about the whole thing. Annd I don't believe that they're saying Christmas itself is overrated... they're saying that the commercialism of it is.

holidays suck. ha i think this is a really clever song, when you have beatles reference in your song, you know your cool. december=christmas, hannakuh..whatever, there all so overated, and have no meaning anymore.

right before it says "I burried Paul" If played backwards you hear someone say "E. Von Dahl Killed the Locals" refrencing to the line before it and after it, where playing a beatles record gives you a hidden message

i bet u almost no1 who listens to this understands this part "i brought you a bottle of wine full of flowers and this vinyl i know we both made it clear no stupid presents this year but snopes.com said if you play 'strawberry fields' the wrong way you can hear lennon's ghost say "i buried paul"" and it is the best part n the song is just about how its funny that even though ull always say u wont make a big deal about the holidays and getting gifts u always end up making a big deal about it...
