I have a psychic and she says I'm lonely she says inside of me is turning out all wrong so now I just sit here and think of meaningless things to say this describes everything perfectly, except I dont have a freekin psychic. nothing ever works out good

i think its about how the world is against him, and how is life is turning out wrong, so he is just gonna do nothing. this feeling progresses through the song as it goes from "so now I just sit here and think of meaningful things to say" to "so now I just sit here and think of meaningless things to say" it shows that the world is beating him down.

Brilliant song, very nice metaphors. I completely agree with lornesd's interpretation. The thing I wanted to bring up is how he finishes with "It's all right now," which to me is a version of the "seize the moment" thing. The really cool thing is that if you're not paying attention, you'll hear it as "it's alright now," which, to mean, would mean that everything is ok and you can just accept your situation... Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's just amazing to me.
