| ok, this is just my take on it cause when i apply a recent relatioship to this it makes sense i think the song is talking about a couple that really loved each other, but somethign happened, maybe rust was lost or something, idk... but they had to break up and neither of them wanted to...they just knew they had to.... so theyre kind of like, spending their last night together... and like, having a happy tiem ONE last time before its all over, and hes saying that hes upset but he knows he has to go....and hes saying that he knows that shes going to be someone esles true love someday.....but hes still mad at her for having to do it... and hes trying to forget about it... probably gettin drunk, as he thinks about the last happy memory they had | |

| and to add to my comment above.. the whole part of "and we knew what time we had" is about them both knowing the guy cant stay with her all night..theyd get caught.. and so they did what they could with the time they had. and the part of "and you heard my heart stop beating" i think is when they laying together facing the same way.. hes holding her and she can feel/hear his heart beating against his back as she sleeps and its time for him to sneak back out..and she feels the stop of his heart beating cause hes leaving | |

| One Man Drinking Games? This song;amazing; it has true deep meanings. I think... The boy sneaks to the girls house to have sex and spend time together because they know its going to be the last and they want it to be the best. The boy gets drunk because the girl is going to die and he doesn't want it to be real? (Keep breathing, my angel, if you go down I go down with you. & Before too long you'll be a memory. ) Not positive about that but thats just my thoughts. They really and truly loved eachother. Their time together was treasured and it had to last the boy awhile. | |

| i met the drummer of mayday parade last summer at warped tour and he told me that there was a song on the album about the singers girlfriend of 5 years that died. and i think this is the song its probably one of my favorite songs, truely amazing | |

| nickatrz is right. they've broken up, and he's thinking about the older times. "and you swore you say me laughing and I swore I saw you smile and this time we spent together has got to last us quite awhile as I take this piece of you with me I'll carry it to my grave knowing that for someone you're an angel sent to save" I actually JUST changed my mind, and realized, he might be talking about taking someones virginity. and then that girl breaking it off with him. I meant to ask derek about this song in particular when I met him in april at a local show but I personally find it rude to ask bands what their songs are about it must be tough enough to sing about it in front of thousands of people let alone explain it to someone in full. regardless, this song, along with every other song by mayday completely breaks me to the point of tears. i can't even explain it. they're just touching songs. p.s. hahahaha I must be emooooo | |

| This is an amazing song. I think that this song means something different to everyone who hears it. To me this song is about a teen couple, and the girls dying, because they knew what time they had left together. And when she dies hes going to in a sense die with her. | |

| I recall my previous statement about what it's about to an extent. It is about the girl dying. I just noticed it, the last part he screams, "Because before too long, you'll be a memory." Referring to the fact that she's not there anymore, she's just a memory now that she's dead. | |

| you guys are all looking at the song as if its happening as he writes it..but everything he does is in pass-tense personally, i think him and his girlfriend just broke up (obviously) but its not their last night together hes writing about..he's reminiscing on the nights he spent with her..and what she put him through, "keep me hanging in suspence". so he remembers what he would do just to see her and be with her for the time he could. but hes coming to the fact that shes just a memory and as his thinking of her and drinking away the memorys.. he hopes shes doing the same and i honestly, i relate to this song 100% so thats where i get my views from =/ | |

| This is just my take on things. The song is about a relationship, for one reason or another, is forced to part. And it's like they agree on one last night of passion before the good-byes. The guy seems to be against the idea and drowns his sorrows in the bottle. I freakin love this song and the guys just got signed not too long ago and are in the studio for a label release. | |

| This song has amazing emotional content. Congrats to Mayday. Umm. I think this song is about the boy/girl/both of them. Commiting suicide. Or just plain dying. One of them knew the other was to die, and they spend their last night together. Not sure. This song means alot to me though. | |
