Well well well...
First off, full credit to Mayday Parade for writing such an amazing song!
But this took me forever to tab out, so please like it!
When I first tried to submit a tab for the song "The Last Something That Meant Anything",
It was said that "Mayday Parade" was not even listed as a band on here!
So I had to send the Website for the band,
and I was the first person in history to post a Mayday Parade tab on Ultimate-Guitar!
I didn't get the lead guitar in the chorus, or in the outro,
But playing the rythem sounds GREAT in my opinion, but hey, you let me know what you think!
This is such a great song, I hope I did it some justice!

	three cheers for five years the title seems kinda sarcastic because he realises she has been cheating and he talks about hoe does he kiss? blah blah and he says that is how he will remember her, as she is now, a liar, a cheater.

	to me, its obvious, that the five-years, represents five years of dating this girl, but the "three cheers fo" part, is partially confusing cause, three cheers sounds positive, happy so it seems to me, that he found out she was cheating, etc etc just after their five year mark

	i think it means that there was a girl who meant alot to his guy and they have been together for five years, but on their fith year of their anniversary she confesses to the guy that maybe she cheated on him or something tragic and he loved her so much that he forgives her and still loves her but she wanted to take a break for they were part for a month and the guy like still loves her but she wants him to let her go and forget about her. and hes doing that because he cares about her

	i love this song. i can deffinately relate to this to every detail. since i do live in georgia and i have gone through this expierence. but mine wasnt exactly a 5 year relationship

	Alot of you are saying that she's leaving him but I dont think thats the case. Around their 5 year mark, she confesses she cheated and he decides that they need a month break "I thought with a month of apart". "I know you want me to want you" She wants everything to work out "For heaven's sake I know you're sorry But you won't stop crying" She keeps on apologizing and crying because she hurt him and feels so bad and just wants to be with him. "Inside I hope you know I'm dying With my heart beside me In shattered pieces that may never be replaced And if I died right now you'd never be the same" On the outside he's acting like hes just disappointed and it will eventually be okay but he hopes she knows that shes killing him "And I will always remember you as you are right now to me And I will always remember now" Hes contrasting who he thought she was and who she really is. He thought she was perfect but really shes a liar && a cheater. "How does he feel, how does he kiss How does he taste while he's on your lips" Hes basically wondering what he's like "But I can't forgive you So when this is over don't blow your composure baby I can't forgive you I know you want me to want you I want to" He leaves her. Its a sad song but I love it.

	This song is about a couple that has been together for 5 years. But on their 5th year anniversary she confesses that she has been secretly seeing someone else. His heart is broken. He thinks that after being a part for a month that she would come back to him. Something would happen to make her see that he is what she truly wants and needs. He knows that things will never be the same even if she wants him ever again. But he is going to remember her as the perfect girl he loved and thought she was. She might want things to be okay between them. But he can't want her again. He knows somewhere deep inside she wants him to still love her. But he can't. He wants to forgive her but deep down that's something he can't do.

	This song...? Three Cheers For Five Years...? Its an expression of a mans love for his girlfriend, they are out celebrating their Fifth year aniversary, quite a milestone, and so, his girlfriend desides that on this day, she will tell him that shes been cheating on him. As he is distraught, he ends it, and desides that perhaps, just perhaps, that a litle amount of time, a month or so, may help his ex realise, that he is the guy she should be with, he loves her so much, he doesnt wonna see her get hurt, though she doesnt wonna see her with him... He, due to his endless love for her, regretdly accepts to never be with her again, hoping that again, she may come back for him... At the same time, he is trying to forgive her for what she has done, she had lied, he cant trust her, the basis of ANY relationship is trust... What can he do? He knows that with that he can not trust her anymore, but also, his "love" has blinded him, he still wants her back, he is gettn "attraction" mixed up with "love" But still ends it with the whole, you'll be sorry when I'm gone card, he says that "...I will always remember you as you are right now to me; And I will always remember now..." Saying that how you were back then, and what yu are now are two VERY diffrent things... and finishes with a classic, "your a whore, how is he in bed?" type of line, by making her guilty, she may drop the guy she cheated on him with, and not return to that chapter of her life, or just continue and not take any notice of it. 	a year and a half ago this was the song that made me fall in love with this band! i got hooked on every second of it when i felt like these guys were singing about my relationship with the only boyfriend i regret ending things with. it felt like my feelings were finally put in tangible words, and in such a beautiful song too! ah... it still makes me tear up every now and then! haha and the acoustic version of it is beautiful too! speaking of which, Derek taught me how to play the piano intro of the acoustic version of the song the other day... sweet. -Brittany

	I am so glad this band is starting to get recognition. I saw them live a few weeks ago and stayed after and talked to them for awhile and it was amazing. The lead singer of further seems forever even pulled Derek(lead singer of this band) on stage to sing "For all we know" with him. But anyway, to me this song tells the story of a guy who broke up with his girlfriend because she cheated on him. Despite this break up, he still loved her very much and was hoping that they would get back together. Sadly though, he is not able to overcome the fact that she cheated on him and even though she still has something for him, she gets with another guy.

	I think its about a boy and girl who have been together for 5 years. And he had all these hopes and dreams about what they could do together and what they ment to eachother. but before they get parted theyre having abit of trouble and while shes away hes thinking about all those things.anyway. and they get parted for a month just before there annversary and when she comes back he realises that its not what she wants anymore. and however much he gives to her and tries itll never be the same shes moved on and hes left on his own.

	If you ask me its about a guy whos girlfirned is ready to leave him. and he loves her soo he doesnt want her to. oBut yeah i love this song. its the best ever.
