This song, like most all other Mazzy Star songss is simple,
but beautiful. It would be a good Idea To play along with
the CD to get the rythm down.

Still falling
Breathless and on again
Inside today
Beside me today
Around and broken in two
"till your eyes shed
Into Dust
Like two strangers
Turning Into Dust
"till my hand shook with the way of fear
(bridge)
I could possibly fading
Or have something more to gain
I could feel myself growing colder
I could feel myself under your fate
Under your Fate
(bridge)
It was you breathless and tall
I could feel my eyes turning Into Dust
And two strangers turning Into Dust
Turning Into Dust
(bridge)
(outro)
The only part I'm unsure about is the outro, but it'll do.

| i think this song is about someone who is in love with another person who is dying, when they mention the fear and fate, if someone you love dies in your life your fate rests with what happens to them you are so effected by it but you have no control over it | |

| This song is just...it's beyond words, really, you know? It's just one of those songs that are so rare. It's beautiful and haunting and eery, and all you guys are right about everything you've said to describe it, but really, it's more than that, isn't it? It's more than just haunting beauty? There's a real frailty to it, it's really vulnerable and open. Sometimes I can listen to it and cry, and other times it cheers me up. It's so powerful. And yeah, I know I'm babbling. But my favourite part is the bit about being under someone else's fate. Cause we've all felt that sometime. | |

| I read somewhere where Hope and the guitarist basically made this song up as it was recorded. It was all improvised. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. | |

| I'd forgotten about this song. I first heard when it was on The OC, and then I heard it on House last week. Love it. | |

| Totally hypnotic! Hope has such an etheral voice it's so angelic but melancholy and this song is so beautiful but so sombre. | |

| To me it's about losing yourself in another person, "turning into dust", "I could feel myself under your fate". Either that or it's about two people destined to be together, turning into dust together, being under the same fate. Both interpretations are valid. | |

| well, it could be about realizing that you have a decision to make wich will inevitably will take you away from someone you love, choosing between losing either that other person or yourself. | |

| This song is brilliant. It's the one song out of all their albums that really stuck out to me. | |
