| I'm so sorry for this, but I believe this song alludes to the Bible. (Cliche`, right?) Well, in the Bible, it says, "G-d formed Adam from dust from all over the world." I think it's in Our Sages. Anyways, man was created from dust, so the protagonist of this song could be returning to this stage. Almost like a rebirth. Or, at least, she is dying and, thus returning to this state. Maybe she wasn't very religious, and that "stranger" is really G-d. She could be feeling "colder" from the cold shoulder of being 'left below'. I mean, G-d does explain the 'fate' and her 'fear,' or her fear of her fate. (I know, it's a stretch, and I'm sorry. I'm not usually religious.) | |

| i could be wrong. but to me it sounds as though it's a referal to an eating disorder.the two strangers are her and the voice inside her head. (ana) fading is lsing weight. growing colder is again a symptom to anorexia - losing your fat. getting colder. 'hands shake' fro a lack of eating some anorectics get shaky. theres a few more. just my opinion. | |

| this song hypnotizes me every single time and i can listen to it over and over again. i had this cd once but listened to it so much it got scratched beyond repair. i think i read somewhere that they recorded this album in an old church to give it a sort of an erie haunting hollow sound. | |
