| this one is beautiful. i like mazzy star's music, but not all of their lyrics say so much. this one does. i think it's about how we tend to take love for granted 'till it's gone. and then we wakr up and wonder why we didn't smell the coffee. plus: they say every man goes blind in his heart and they say everybody steals somebody's heart away that's a great part. strange, but it gives me hope in a way. it's gonna b ok. | |

| The lyrics make no sense whatsoever. I think she was stoned off her rocker when she wrote it. Let me give you some examples: "i just want to see you in your eyes" duh, everyone knows it's called 'look you in the eye'. where is she from, and why can't she speak English? Her site says she's from California. Ok, so she's a stoner. But what does this mean?: "and i've been wondering why you let me down and i been taking it all for granted" - duh, when you take it all for granted, you should EXPECT folks to let you down. And another thing that bugs me about Mazzy's brilliant lyrics; when you write: "they say" you are supposed to follow up with something that they actually DO say, not just make things up. Who has ever heard anyone say: "every man goes blind in his heart"? Right. Nobody. She made it up, just like she made up: " she made up "everybody steals somebody's heart away" THEY don't say that. Nobody says those sayings. Know why? Cause they are stupid, and they make no sense.(Unless you are really stoned on California reefer, maybe. Or maybe she's been hitting the 'candy wine' too hard. By the way, what the F¤#* is 'candy wine'? I havd heard of candy cigarettes but not candy wine. Do they have candy beer? Candy vodka too? Come on, Mazzy... put down the bong and stop just throwing words together and start writing good songs. | |

| Falling in love and then...Taking things for granted in the relationship, disappointing the one you love, breaking your promises, and fading away from the one you love. Love this song. | |

| A) I don't think she was stoned at all when she wrote this-beautiful lyrics aren't always done under the influence of a substance. B) She's very talented. But that's understood. C) The music is heartbreaking, and wonderful. | |

| i think the narrator doesn't really love him. she's apologizing. but.. i don't know. hahah. maybe she just wants to use someone and she will steal hearts and hurt you if she wants. | |

| This song has always been my second fav song behind Look on Down. so sweet & melancholy. I used to crank this up & dance around the room with my baby boy when he was like 4 months old. It's embedded into his personality. | |
