Now, since I'm getting all these by ear, it's most probably that it contains
errors. If anyone knows other version, please send it. This version doesn't
contains the solo or fills played by Marty. If someone knows them, please
send them. I hope to see Megadeth's "Go to Hell" tab on nevada.

| This song just plain rocks. Personally, I think this song is about the dog-eat-dog aspect of humanity. The "family tree" representing all of the human race. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like more sense than being about anything sexual. | |

| The song is about incest. It can be anything about incest. "Let me show you, how I love you. It's our secret, you and me." The song name gives it out. It's giving the message that the person has to stay in the family tree. | |

| It's a great song about a very difficult subject in child abuse. It has a very clever use of words in the verses. The line "too wet to come in from the rain" is almost like saying the damage is done now, you should just accept what's going on. | |

| "Too wet to come in from the rain" - to me, is the most disturbing, sickening lyric line I've heard. I hope it was intended!? | |

| This song *is* about a boy being molested by a father who used to be molested as a child. I own the remastered Youthanasia cd and in the booklet, the page opposite the Family Tree lyrics shows a small boy in pajamas looking around the corner into another room of an empty, broken home. In the other room is a translucent, shadowy picture of an older, nude man. | |

| Awesome song. I think person (who is telling the story) shifts few times. wrong doer (let me show you), third person narrator (When you hear them saying "trust me") and brother or sister (I know they were doing it to you). This is THE song that should open Mustaine's eyes to see that he is much superior musician and writer than anyone at Metallica... | |

| no, the first one was right, it's about parents molesting their children and then those children molesting their children. Very sad indeed. I'm have a friend who knows like everything about Megadeth. strangly enough this is one of my favorite songs by them... probably because it bears a slight resemblance to Prison Sex but Prison Sex is about something totally different.... Anyway this is my favorite song by Megadeth along with The Scorpian another pretty mindfucking song.... If you think like I do. | |

| This song is about a little boy who is being molested by his father. "Let me show you, how I love you. It's our secret, you and me." This is often what parents who molest their children tell their children before they do it. "I know they did it to you, but don't try doing it to me" refers to the fact that a small fraction of children who suffered the trauma of child molestation do it to their children also. It's a good song, but it makes me sad. | |
