This song is incredible...I love the whole mood to it, it's somber and sad because he's admitting that no matter what you do, there's always gonna be another hurdle you have to jump, for the rest of you life - but then it's also so hopeful because he's saying that even though things are seen as "once in a lifetime", you're always gonna have new chances and new decisions to make until the day you die...it's not as though one choice is going to solve everything. Sorry if that was kind of obscure...awesome song!

Sensible song. One chance in your lifetime but it won't be the last time. A lifetime to figure everything out. And not one answer will ever be like the rest. Love this one.

Yeah pukesthedayawau was right, Tony wrote this while recording down in California. He did say "it comes so close but pulls away" it about the waves coming in and out. I think its also about Tony's past and him growing up. He used to be in gangs and get in all kinds of shit. I think when he says: "changing what I once thought, letting go of what I once fought" Its just him walking away and taking a mature aproach to opinions, life and whatever it has to throw at you. Its just growing up and finding your true self & identity. A Beautiful song, slow, but so hopefull and Positive.

I agree with wverybody in here. This song really is a good song and is one of my favorite songs of all time because it just has so much meaning to me because I've been through sittuations where I thought i couldn't make it but in the end I did make it throught those "hills" and never gave up because I had somebody their that believed in me. It's just the best song.
