This is a great song, I am a big metallica fan, and as a fan I feel that I can criticize without getting murdered by some of the other fans for blaspheming. I think it might have been better if just Metallica did the song. It seems a little cluttered with voices. Too many cooks in the kitchen so to speak.

Actually, Metallica recorded this one song in 1997, not '98, when they were premoting ReLoad on a radio station. It also featured John Popper, Les Claypool, and a couple other guys I forget.

can't say this was good cover. Othe rthan turn the page, I Think the entire Garage Inc. album was flop. Metallica is legendary, they should not be covering other...They are the ones that should be covered more. But i guess heavy metal is a dying art being over thrown by the shitty styles of Limp bizkit, Linkin Park and other Nu metal bands

I love Metallica but I just don't think this song came out too well, it isn't one of my favorite Metallica covers. I like others like Am I Evil? And Breadfan and Turn The Page.

Amazing song, written by Lynyrd Skynyrd... I Aldso like their cover of "Whiskey In The Jar" By Thin Lizzy. Gary Rossington From Skynyrd also plays on the track.

True this song isnt the best cover metallica have done , but it shows James Hetfields nature , Skynard was hetfields fav artists when he was an adolescent and this shows his passion for his music so screw you if u think im wrong but im sure if some of you guys were in a band u would be covering ur favourtie artists songs :P

whoever zps2 is is obviously a douchebag and doesnt listen to songs for meaning. He probably listens to shit like Limp Bizkit, Eminem, and Nelly like all those other drone zombie mainstream pop fucks. Metallica is one of the greatest bands of all time, one of the founding fathers of the genre of metal in this country (i say this country cuz it all started with the NWOBHM era in england), and every member is at the highest talent. Jason left....yes i know....but they have Rob Trujillo now. The Four Horsemen are back to kick some ass! And i cannot wait for the new album! So to all you assholes who wanna bash metallica when your not even educated on music, go fuck yourselves.... Anyways, this is one of the best cover tunes Metallica has done. And im taking a guess, but im sure the meaning is about a man searching for his desire, and himself, and hes taken to much shit up to that point that he's leaving his woman, with no hard feelings, to find himself once again, and when he does, he will be back.
