Metallica - Devils Dance
Tabbed By:Gabe Hawkins - gabe_hawkins93@yahoo.com
Tuning:Dropped 1 full step (DGCFAd)
Artist:Metallica
Guitarist(s):James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett
Album:ReLoad
This is all of the rhythm notes through the song, with the exception of a few parts in which
lead is filled in. I will tab it out to where you can play it with 2 guitars. Me and my friend,
who is soon to be tabbing on guitarmasta, did a lot of work on this tab with me, Justin Edwards,
so I must give him credit for this tab as well. When two guitars are playing, the top will
part will be James (Rhythm) and the bottom will be Kirk (lead). They will be linked with
a to indicate these go on at the same time.
Tab Key:
P.M. - Palm Mute
~ - Vibrato or let ring
b - Bend
h - Hammer On

That is all you need to play the rhythm notes throughout the song with the exception of
some needed lead parts. You just repete the parts needed when they come up in the song.
I would tab out the solo if I knew it, but I don't and do not want to steal it off of another
tab. Please rate. I'm not positve about a couple parts, but I'm sure even if it's off a
bit you can figure it out. Please rate and comment.
Lyrics:
Yeah
I feel you too
Feel
Those things you do
In your eyes I see a fire that burns
To free the you
That's running through
Deep inside you know
Seeds I plant will grow
One day you will see
And dare to come down to me
Yeah, come on, come on now take the chance
That's right
Let's dance
Snake
I am the snake
Tempting
That bite to take
Let me free your mind
Leave yourself behind
Be not afraid
I've got what you need
Hunger I will feed
One day you will see
And dare to come down to me
Yeah, come on, come on now take the chance
Haha
Come dance
Yeah, come dancing
One day you will see
And dare to come down to me
Yeah, come on, come on now take the chance
Yeah
I feel you too
Feel
Those things you do
In your eyes I see a fire that burns
To free the you
That's running through
Deep inside you know
Seeds I plant will grow
One day you will see
And dare to come down to me
Yeah, come on, come on now take the chance
That's right
Let's dance
Mm, it's nice to see you here
Haha

| by Jigokusabre on 04-12-2002 @ 05:01:40 AM It's about lust, and Christianity's view of sex as "sinful" or "evil." I actually take offence to that, because as a Christian, I know that Christians do not in anyway find sex 'sinful' or 'evil'. But moving on.. This is one of my top three favorite songs by them. It's just brilliant, and even has such a devlish tune to it. I'm just wondering though, why everyone seems to think this song is about sex. There are by far many other temptations out there that anyone could give into. | |

| Love the S&M version to. The song is about not see your temptation as a terrible thing, it is the opposite. Giving in then you will be satisfactide both animal instincts "sex" and spirituel. Sin is an unknown word... | |

| One could certainly see this as sexual but I can see this as any scenario when one gives into temptation. The intonation suggests to me this is not exactly sinful, but rather a fulfilment of our deepest naturalistic urges, breaking free from this sheltered bubble world of conforming existence. | |
