"Lay beside me, tell me what they've done" He's asking her to tell him what they did to her to compare it to what they've done to him. "If you can understand the me, then i can understand the you" He's saying that if she can understand what happened to him then he can understand what happened to her because they went through the same things "In the black of day and dark of night we share this paralyzed" He's saying that they can talk all day and all night about what happened to them And the rest of the song if you can see it how i do is self-explainitory... this was an awesome song!
