| i think literally this is about a plane crash, but it also has alot of emotional content. maybe from a pilot's perspective. -he is flying back across the world to his love, and yet his plane goes down. "what made you fall" could be, why did he crash, or why did he fall in love. the whole crash thing could be a metaphor for falling in love, and then crashing and burning when you are rejected. "a nice way" makes me think he's waking up in heaven, with someone he's lost. or that he's coming to after the crash, and is just glad to be alive. | |

| The feeling when someone you loved have died, and all that's left is the spiral of depression. Until all you have left is your desire to be with this person, that you might commit suicide. "I am thinking of you" "To wake up with you". the common thinking about the life after death, heaven or such, that one day you might be able to see them again. To wake up with you. But we don't know if this is true or nought, "You wanna go, you wanna see" He's finding out. "What lies could set you free" Escaping from life for this 'lie' or what you want to call it. | |

| "It's a nice day, I think To wake up with you" Those lyrics make me shiver. I thought it was 'A nice WAY...' instead though? I see it as trying to help someone understand what to do next. The person they're trying to help is trying to let go of something or someone, and trying to move on. "A nice way, I'm separated from you" to me, is saying, "Right, OK, I've done all I can now, it's time for me to leave you to make your choice." | |

| From some reason, to me, a lot of mew songs seem to deal with war, and when I first heard this, I got the impression that he was a pilot in an air force, and was able to sustain himself throughout the battles by thinking of his love back home. In that sense, it would kind of fit lyrically with the songs from Glass-Handed Kites. | |
