	I don't know bout you guys, but this song WASN'T on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack. Go look for yourself!

	Everyone understands songs in his own way. Anyway, I feel this song talks about love, a some sort of unfinished love-story from the past. maybe a one-sided, secret love which was never expressed and therefore kept deep inside. And the song speaks of how that person moved on,trying to live a nice life,probably marrying another woman,have a family etc. leaving it in the past. not fully confronting with it. He saved himself for her sweet caress, and when something went wrong- she rejectged him or he couldn't expose his true feelings to her, he gave up on being with her and began searching for happiness, to ease the pain and try to forget what happend. so those old deep feelings still live inside of him, hurting him like a spider residing in his mind, or soul. And when people go to sleep, they're sun rise - a metaphor for how our true souls and minds reveal to us in our dreams, and so though he wishes to forget this feelings, this spider, they are revealed to him when he sleeps, and he can't trully escape nor forget them. he, though wishes not to, finds they still exist, the spider in him lives within. And like himself, no one is safe from that kind of complications of love.

	I think this song could be about the government. The first stanza could be that he uncovered something the government was hiding and wishing he had never found out. And then when he talks about the nice life, it could mean that politicians are supposed to be upstanding people but in reality they are corrupt (spider?) And then the whole rightwing fashion line, Conservatives in his opinion might be quick to go to war and judge (xenophobia) and in the end of the song he has just decided to give up on trusting in the government. And something else has just come to me. You could consider the government a female spider and the citizens the spider's babies. Certain spiders eat their young....thats deep cuz

	I'm pretty sure this song is about the Danish People's Party. On of the party's platforms is anti-immigration. In the song it says, "And so In right wing fashion We'll nurture xenophobia". This line gives it away. Xenophobia is a fear of unknown or foreign people, and can sometimes be considered racist. The Danish People's Party has often been criticized for this, as they are vehemently opposed to immigration, and specifically Muslim immigration.

	I agree with you, but it almost makes me think it has something to do with love ruining things, too. How there's a "she" in front of spider. The line made me think this was the whole "I saved myself For someone someshere's Sweet caress Something goes wrong And all i sought was happiness " thing. It's like he's saying he saved himself up for someone, and it didn't work out, and all he wanted was a little love and happiness. And by the end, he's finally saying nobody is safe from an unhappy relationship, they happen to everyone (no one is safe from somone somewhere's sweet embrace), and he either hates the idea of false love, or some girl in general. You can really tell (I have simply decided to dislike you now). But yeah, your idea could be it, too. I guess I'm jsut taking the emo side of it.

	i am thinking whoever posted these lyrics meant 'SHEspider'...? i have always thought of the chorus as sort of.. though one can live a nice life, ie, suburbian with loving family, boy/girlfriend, etc., they still end up having some kind of problem [depression, something internal] which is expressed as the spider. however i've always heard the lyrics as 'with a spider in you', which would make sense on this point of view. also, it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the lyrics... possibly.... hm.

	It was but only in the japanese soundtrack of the movie, they added the song a couple of moths after the release of the cd in japan wich is pretty wierd but still i have the soundtrack just for this song i know i am a mew freak, but i love their music, i just hope they come to mexico soon thought i dont keep my expectations really high

	it made it onto that ssoundtrack?? wow.. i never really thought it would have made it into something so mainstream like that. this band are underrated but i kind of like it like that- keeping them a secret

	The song is about the government, the Danish government to be precise, Mew have said this many times. ..which is why I find it quite amusing that this song made it onto the Spiderman 2 soundtrack!
