| this is one of the most powerful songs i've ever heard. and i really don't think is about the princess or diana ross at all. i always thought it's about those sleezy women who would do anything... but ANYTHING to get the best in life, with no values whatsoever... the name Diana is there because it just fits (it's called alliteration b-) )... or it may be a personal meaning to all of it... anyways, michael jackson is a genius:) | |

| While this is one of my favorite MJ songs, I do have to admit the timing of both song and video struck me as highly hilarious. Had he come out with DD during his Off The Wall or even Thriller time frame, he'd have had every hot-blooded female alive between the ages of 13-80 buying it. But, c'mon folks, at the time Bad was released, his face was already starting to slide, and, in the words of the great Kat Williams, "When was the last time he was in a relationship YOU believed? Don't worry, I'll wait!" I'd have had an easier time believing him singing this song when he was still touring with his brothers! And, even funnier, the guitar solo! When he ripped off his shirt I almost died laughing. I'll always love Michael, but c'mon, when he ripped away his T-shirt the poor thing looked like a Cornish game hen! It helps to have a chest if you're going to attempt to show it off like that. I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but I'm really NOT MJ bashing. He'll always be the greatest in my book. Just I thought this was rather funny, and I get a chuckle out of it every time I watch the vid. | |

| oh, and i forgot to say about the fury i feel in this song... feels like he's hating himself for being so weak in front of her...uhm... charms :D and he's hating her for being the woman she is, trying to controll everything with her body... and especially not being all his... ("every musician's fan after the curtains come down") | |

| Whilst it may have been disrespectful for him to call the late princess Diana a 'right dirty scrutter', I highly doubt that she's going to mind.... I think it might be about groupies, or it might be a Lou Reed style commentary on the dangers of some type of drugs, especially ones that are freely offered to the 'pop star scene', such as cocaine. Just a thought! | |

| I think this song is MJ`s best ever! Its a very well written song and the music is outstanding! The meaning is quite obvious.... about either an obsessed fan or just a dirty woman that will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Michael Jackson is an amazing artist :-) | |
