	This song was written about Michael Jackson using his wealth to have sex with boys. He is smooth because he shaves himself blad and hes a criminal because he molests boys.

	For the record....You cant judge a songs meaning from the video...almostp 90% of the time it has nothing to do with story, its just a directors idea of what would be good for the song from a viewers standpoint.... This song isnt about murder...its about how a girl was violently raped by a person she knew and trusted

	O I always thought it was about somebody raping a virgin, but thats cos I tend to assume that anything by Michael Jackson has some sort of sexual undertones. The murder theory does make a lot more sence. Great song.

	Another thing to do with the rescusitation part of this song someone else already mentioned- Annie is the name given to the CPR dolls ppl practise on, and they often practise talking to the victim by saying "Annie, are you ok? are you ok? Annie?" so…er…yea

	--------THE number one fan of Smooth Criminal-------- W I T H O U T A S H A D O W O F D O U B T PaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooW This is cleary the best song I've ever heard, there's nothing like it!!! I can now finally do ALL the moves he does in the the video (moonwalker version). Let me tell you that it IS difficult!! There are too many hidden details in it. For a long time i thought he said "but a black day" but once you hear the a capella version it's without a doubt " what a black day ". AAF made the same mistake ;-) This song is cleary about some guy trying to murder Annie and as MJ is asking if she's OK, so she's still alive. It was her doom, yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's dead....she probably survives somehow...cops came?? 	Michael Jackson wasn't found innocent. He was found not guilty. Learn how the American justice system works. And I think AAF does an amazing cover of this tune. I love covers that don't recreate the song exactly the same. It's fun because it's just a different way of hearing a song you already like.
