Yes 90% of crimes are comitted by Aborigines, now shall i get the fire lighted up to burn the books or will you do it mop_32 and Adster81. Hope you've been working your right arms out as well, we have alot of goosestepping across Australia with our right arms firmly in the air to do. Oh wait sorry that was a bit extreme what i meant to say was you guys are racist wankers, thats it knew i'd get to it eventually.

this song shows that us white people have a lot to answer for. we go into another nations thinking we discovered it and we've driven the indigenous out. this is a wonderful and shows a meaning close to my heart!

i am a massive oils fan and had the pleasure to meet with Peter Garrett when he came to my university last year. Hes in politics now and even though i don't agree with all his policies, he is a champion bloke and certainly not a typical rock star spending his money on cheap booze and women. Anyone who thinks that is ignorant, misinformed and a drongo.

Hmm. That's a good question, but I have no clue. And what shauncreaney says somehow reminds me of other countries delusions about Australia. Everyone seems to think we have kangaroos in our backyards, and speak with a Steve Irwin accent, and are all basically yobbos who use their money in 'pissing it all away in booze and cheap women'. Eh. Great song though, you have to love Midnight Oil. For some reason I've always associated them with R.E.M. though...I have no clue why, hehe ;x

^^^ And yet, what do you do? Share your political views... I don't actually know the song, but just by reading the lyrics... the song is about what the first person said...

shauncreaney...who the fuck do u think u r? i bet u dun even live in australia as do i. i agree that what happened 2 the natives was horrible blah blah blah, but to stereotype 'ozzies' as sleazy drunkards having sex with any female is absolutley pathetic. todays aborigines arent as 'graceful' as u obviously think they are, as a matter of fact in my part of austarlia u run a high risk of not returning home from an outing with your wallet and keys due to aboringinal mobs. i want my car back WHICH THE ABO'S STOLE. open your eyes u bloody drongo

i agree that this song denotes the deplorable discrimination that those english-rejected ozzies have for their indigenous hosts, the aborigines. but i can't help but wonder cynically how much money midnight oil profitted from making, marketing and selling this song/video. call me skeptical, but these guys probably spent their earnings not on aboriginal awareness but pissed it all on booze and cheap women- its the aussie way. as an after thought, to those poor abject natives, my only consolation is that imperialism is one of those nefarious ideologies of 'divide and conquer'...sorry it had to happen to you too.
