| Right on with the comments about maintaining youth... he spells it out in the verse that mentions the snow 'turning in to rain, and melting away...and all these days slip by us, so let's keep them'. Keep the memories of youth fresh even when they try to fade... even when it rains keep the 'snow-days' close at hand to remind us of the magic in childhood. | |

| Indeed. I think, besides taking hold of your youth, it also has a message for grown people, which is to never grow too old at heart. Always remain a child at heart. The image of men becoming boys again is just very powerful and amusing. It's tiny moments like those that make you appreciate being human. How something as arbitrary as snow can make everything clean and infuse everyone with a sense of youth. | |

| I love this song. I play it every time it's snowing (and when it's not) but it just makes me so damn HAPPY. All their songs do. They just put me in the best mood because Minus the Bear is equivalent to genius. | |

| If I had to guess, I'd say this song is about taking hold of your youth while you have the chance. | |

| they've really fallen into their own style. if they wern't already pretty unique, they've perfected it. they'll keep moving along though, im already waiting for the next release. the internet has spoiled us all, but you fuckers better be buying this record when it actually releases. its the least we can all do for enjoying it early. | |

| I think the song's about how winter and the magic of a first snowfall can turn everyone into a little kid again. Brilliant song. The chorus can still catch me by surprise every so often, it's just so unexpected. | |

| That's what I was thinking. I heard on their new album they're going to kind of mellow out the names of their songs. I like the strange titles of their songs, but I can see why they'd want to have less wild song titles in order to be taken more seriously. | |

| i can't tell you how long i've been listening to this particular song...definitely a long time before the album came out. btw: the chorus is actually - All boys come on and girls join up just don't grow old. All boys come on and girls join up, we're almost home. | |
