| Dosnt hybrid mean when two species produce offspring? But I then looked on urban dictionary for like a slang meaning to hybrid and it said that hyrib was an american version of the british word 'Greebo" meaning (taken off Urban Dictionary) 'there are many different types of people who make up the greebo (A.K.A Hybrid) population. all of them are different but have one or two things in common, they listen to rock & roll of different types and dont wear fashionable clothes. Yeah they may look a bit stuipid sometimes but theyt really dont give a fuck. they dont have a problem with non greebos so all the stuff about greebos being trouble makers who cause fights and problems with non greebos is crap. greebos will cause not much problem. im not saying their are squeaky clean but they dont go looking for trouble. they just wanna have a good time. greebos and goths often get mixed up which is stupid because if you knew what a greebo was and what a goth was then you know the difference. ' So yeah Im not sure if this is what the song is enteirely about, but I just thought that was interesting. | |

| I think it's amazing to see the depth people see in Danzig's imagery. Most people I know love the Misfits just cus they're so fun to sing along with when you're drunk! This is a hard song to attribute meaning to, and I never tried to before, bit looking at what others have written, I've come to a realization about what it means to me personally. There's a special feeling when you're in a bar listening to a good band and singing along with them (it's especially incredible from the band's point of view, and I get to experience it every time my band plays this song.) There's a kind of freedom and release where for a brief second you can be who you are and do what you want, and not only will no one question you for it, but they'll join you. Every person, whether they want to admit it or not, has two sides. There's a polished, consored, approved of side that they present in public, and there's one inside that gets to collect all the ugliness and anguish in life. I feel the idea of this song is that each person is a hybrid of these two personalities. Those times when you feel like you need to scream, that's the other side of you trying to get out and breathe. And every once in a while, it actually gets it's chance, but it never seems to last longer than just a moment. The beauty of punk music is in the line "Give me a moment." Punks wouldn't say "treasure these moments." They wouldn't ask "when do I get a moment?" They fucking demand it. | |

| I think that maybe exactly what the song's about. Although I've never heard Hybrid used in that fashion. I'm only a little familiar with the term Greebo. | |
