| I'd like to make note of the hauntingly brilliant vocals of Jennifer Price in this song. I'm not much of a fan of Moby at all, but I love this song dearly. I have only seen the music video for this song once and never plan on seeing it again. I was very much intrigued in what deeply emotional video was created for such a beautiful song. I was quite dismayed to see a bunch of CGI aliens wandering around. Oh well. I think the actual meaning of this song is quite obvious. Please don't leave me alone in this cold world without a friend. | |

| "Please don't leave me alone in this cold world without a friend." i agree with maxi's comment. i also agree on the music video thing...i haven't even seen it because this song is too close to my heart, i don't think it should've been made into something silly...but maybe i'm just a jerk. i listen to this song when i am depressed. it's usually when i am already crying or on the verge of tears. there is some beautiful release possible from the vocals paired with the powerful lyrics, even though there are few[though repeated]. the music itself is beautiful, as well. there's something so heartbreakingly vulnerable and hopeless in this song...and i suppose that is why i always seem to come back to it when i am at my lowest. "down with the ground" indeed...and when she breaks into the "in this world" part, i'm guaranteed in tears. a very touching track. | |

| sometimes we are too busy attending ourselves that we forget about others - we dont pay attention to the little things that some people who find it hard to express themselves do to find love...I can tell this because of personal experience - sometimes people dont tend to understand the feelings of those forgotten people until the moment they feel lonely themselves... | |
