| man i think kingleroythompson is really right.. but also i think that there can be this natual hate/love thing giong on, or not necesarily love but not getting along, it's like self righteous me, so wrong... so people can be mean and nice at different times but overall they are mean and nice, you know? and just like birds and worms don't hate eachother but, birds eat worms, it's this natural cycle.... this is a good song, makes me happy haha | |

| this seems like a song that describes a relationship going sour.. its kinda like saying "i know we aren't going to get a long anymore, but we can still co-exist and live our own lives" | |

| It seems to me that this song is about how people don't get along. But just because you don't get along doesn't mean you have to hate and resent the person. You don't have to get along... but that doesn't mean you have to have all this hatred inside you. | |

| To me personally this song reminds me of how high school was. Everyone was so worried about who they wanted to be instead of who they were. By that I mean "Birds" tried to be "Worms" and vice versa. If everyone would of just quit worrying about the politics maybe everyone could of gotten along. | |

| i thought birds were a metaphor for a certain type of personality, the optimist, and worms are the pessimists. but who knows? | |
