ORDER AND TIMING
*********************
Riff 1
0:00 - 1:05
Well, Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes to the reservation, drinks and gets mean
And he's gonna start a war
He's gonna start a war
And he hops in his pickup, puts his pedal to the floor
And says, "I got mine, but I want more."
Because Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes to the reservation, drinks and gets mean
He drove the desert, fired his rifle in the sky
And said, "God, if I have to die, you will have to die."
Because Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He didn't move to the city:
"The city moved to me,
And I want out desperately."
Riff Two
1:06 - 1:50
Can't do it
Not even if sober
Can't get that engine turned over
Can't do it
Not even if sober
Can't get that engine turned over
Don't know
not even if sober
Can't get that engine turned over
Riff 1
1:51 - 2:05
(No Lyrics)

E|--------------------9-10---------------------------------------------------|
Riff 3
2:06 - 3:15
Standing in the tall grass
Thinking nothing
You know
We need oxygen to breathe
Oxygen to breathe
Standing in the tall grass
Thinking nothing
You know
We need oxygen to breathe
Oxygen to breathe
Riff 4
3:16 - 3:56
Everytime you think you're walking,
You're just moving the ground
Everytime you think you're talking,
You're just moving your mouth
Everytime you think you're looking,
You're just looking down
Riff 1
3:57 - 4:42
Well, Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes to the reservation, drinks and gets mean
He hops in his pickup, puts the pedal to the floor
And says, "I got mine, but I want more."
'Cause Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes to the reservation, drinks and gets mean
He drove the desert, fired his rifle in the sky
And says, "God, if I have to die, you will have to die."
Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes the the reservation, drinks and gets mean
He didn't move to the city:
"The city moved to me,
And I want out desperately"
Riff 2
4:43 - 5:23
Can't do it

| The God aspect where Cowboy Dan shoots his down at the sky is hilarious. But really, this song has the same message as "Custom Concern"... we're building a shitty place to live. And "You know we need oxygen to breath " | |

| "cant get that engine turned over" is right i think..this is hands-down my favorite modest mouse song it also happens to be the first one i had ever heard(back before the "Float On" crowd started paying them attention)...whenever school is too much stress, its easy to spend over an hour playing this song on guitar to ease your nerves...its just so good... | |

| This really is a remarkable song. I love the bit: "Everytime you think you're walking you're just moving the ground Everytime you think you're talking you're just moving your mouth Everytime you're looking you're just looking down." It makes me feel how hopeless this story is. FANtastic. | |

| I think this is about Government, and how we treat foreigners, and how We(The US) view ourselves. We think we are the God of the world, and e know we are going to come down, so we bring our threats down with us(God if i have to die, you will have to die too) | |
