i like how he titles this cd "good news for people who love bad news" its clever as hell, cuz usually his lyrics are depressing, which people love about it. now they are more positive on this cd, hence "good news for people who love bad news." meaning hes talking about his fans who loved his depressing music.

this song kinda reminds me of talking heads...also reminds me of that pixies song that was supposed to be like talking heads new mission for everybody: stop listening to all music except for talking heads, pixies, and modest mouse. it's a good idea, try it.

I have been a huge MM fan since about '97 And I loved the fact no one knew who they were. Then I saw that damn mini van comercial, man I was pissed. I knew the radio would came shortly, I was well let down. The beginning of the end. When they came to town I wanted to go and throw all my CD's at the stage. I wasn't going to buy anymore of thier shit. Then I got the cd for my birthday. Listened a couple of times and found a lyric in "Burry Me With It" that made it all make sense. It goes. Well fans they come and fans they go And god i love that rock and roll Well the point was fast but it was too blunt to miss Life handed us a paycheck and we said "we worked harder than this" Needless to say I have come to terms with the whole thing. I can't help but love it all.

It's about how everything can be bad, but in the end it all works out.
