| Yeah, Truckers don't have autopilots. Anyhow, greatest drumline ev-ar. Wish they played it the last time I saw them (though it seems they have two drummers/percussionists now to make up for Jeremiah's absence). Oh well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad. | |

| Trucker's Atlas is the BEST song on Lonesome Crowded West. The whole song is a metaphor for life. "We write our maps in the stalls" - we plan our lives spontaneously. "How far does your road go? Oh! No! You don't know!" - meaning that no one knows how far life will take them and how long it will last. "Road locomotive phone" - I have no idea what this line means, but it's the best line in the song for some reason. :P | |

| I think that the truckers atlas has something to do with the fact that truckers often put cruise control systems on there truck and just go to sleep, or something like that, and it does all the work for them. I do see the drug references though. | |

| and of course you all can only relate to one liners in the song rather than see it as a whole but some of you get it. maybe. but buy and listen to their albums and pretend to feel you can relate to what is said but you cant cause you didnt write it. and i doubt youre creative enough to | |

| "I don't feel and it feels great" ---- emotions sucks. I feel this song is somewhat of an allegory to life... the interstate of life. "How far does your road go? Oh no, you don't know!" You don't know when you die! All about life, yo. | |

| Ive heard that Isaac had a driving job so maybe he had to do coke or meth to stay up all night to get the job done. Maybe that's the Trucker's Atlas. | |
