Music: Opium

Band: Moonspell

Album: Irreligious

Lyrics by Fernando Ribeiro, Music by Moonspell

00:00 -> 00:12 - Play RIFF 1, twice, with some pick scrapes in the

beggining...

RIFF 1:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------0-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-2-4-2-2-5-4-2-4-

--------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------

00:13 -> 00:25 - The drum kicks in, and RIFF 1 is played twice again,

acompanyed by the guitar that plays the E5 and D5 chords,

at the same time as the bassdrum, with heavy palm mutting.

00:26 -> 00:38 - Guitar plays RIFF 2, in clear tone... I think this is played

with a synth in the album...

RIFF 2:

00:39 -> 00:50 - One guitar plays RIFF 2, while the other plays RIFF 3, after

a pick scrape... The pick scrapes appear a bit before every

chord.

RIFF 3:

00:51 -> 01:03 - RIFF 1 is played 2 times, acompanied by the E5 and D5 power

chords, with palm mutting...

01:04 -> 01:16 - RIFF 2 is played again, in clear tone...

01:17 -> 01:29 - RIFF 2 is played along with RIFF 3...

01:30 -> 01:42 - This is like the song's solo... Play RIFF 4.

RIFF 4:

01:55 -> 02:07 - Play RIFF 1, twice, with some pick scrapes in the

beggining... There is a feedback, probably in E...

02:08 -> 02:20 - RIFF 1 is played 2 times, acompanied by the E5 and D5 power

chords, with palm mutting...

02:21 -> 02:34 - RIFF 6 is played 4 times, alternating between the E5 and D5

power chords...

RIFF 6:

I think we all know where you can find .mp3 files of their songs... (p2p softwares...) Opium is nice song, from the Iriligious album, although I prefer the Wolfshade album much more.

From the songs I've heard of this band. They sound very good. They sound a little like T.O.N to me, only alot harder. Does anyone know where I can listen to Mp3's of this band? I've been thinking of buying their stuff, but I want to listen to more of their stuff first [I want to know what album's I like the most]. If you know where I can get Mp3's of their stuff please post the website for me. I would appreciate it.

I take this song as a love song. Opium is kind of metaphor of love and it's intoxicating force. Lovers are like fingers and between of them burns opium...
