	No, thrash metal originated from Venom. The black metal sound was originated by Bathory and perfected by Darkthrone\Mayhem. Taken to greater heights by Immortal. Morbid Angel is pure Floridian Death Metal, as mentioned earlier. Just because they have satanic lyrical content doesn't make them black metal. Deicide is the same case. Cradle of Filth w\ Nick Barker was Black Metal. Dusk and Her Embrace and vEMPIRE are classics of the non-Norway style. And if you tell someone who lives by the Euryonomous Doctrine that an English band originated Black Metal, they'd torture you unmercifully. Mayhem in the early days threatened to kill any non-Norweigians who played metal shows in Norway at the time. So you can see how deep the convictions run. And Rapture kills.

	The base of black metal belongs to bands like venom, celtic forst, etc. The 90's Black Metal as we know it today was formed in northern europe countries like norway and sweden by bands like immortal, mayhem, dimmu borgir, dark funeral, emperor, etc. Of course with the black metal as it is today, bands like venom can be described as Black/Thrash/Speed metal.. And of course morbid angel is death metal, 100% death metal.. Thrash Metal was formed before black metal, when a wave of anti-glam rock bands tried to play true metal again, like Slayer, Exodus, Metallica, Megadeth and others

	just listen to this song, it tears you to pieces! David's voice is fucking brutal on this song and yes they are a death metal band. you want some good black metal?check out Bathory and Mayhem they both rule. this song will have you headbanging till your neck snaps.
