| If any of you people have been lucky enough to experience true love...I submit this: The Birdman of Alcatrazz was famous for keeping pigeons at the jail. They became his hobby, then friends, then he became a bit obsessed with them, eventually collecting hundreds in a coop. When he eventually got out of Jail he released all of his birds. And on her arrival I will set free the birds.... One of the best lines ever if you know that story. This song also features the phrase "Temple of the Dog" which became the band that formed for an album to pay tribute to Andy Wood after he died. My favorite Mother Love Bone song. | |

| There are many songs that celebrate music ( or at least I hope so) But this one is the greatest. I want to sing it all the time. We are nothing, music is EVERYTHING. | |

| absolutely amazing. such a beautiful song. also (and I'm not a christian I just happen to know this passage) there is a passage in revelations in the bible that the whole "divine glory, the expression, the knees bowed the tongue confesses, the lord of lords, the king of kings" part is taken from. I cannot remember the actual wording but it revolves around the gates of heaven being guarded by a masked rider on a white horse whose legplate bears the name "Lord of lords, king of kings" | |
