this song is about how people can try to solve your depression, but depression is a feeling not some sort of disease, you can try to take medication to cure it but it will always come back and hit you hard, the only way to escape it temporarily is by taking the drugs....he's saying that he tried to get better but no matter how much help he got he still ended up back in the same place

PuNkS*r*Us, i think you will find that depression is a clinical illness, its much more than just "a feeling".

It seems like it's about depression, with the "medication" and "therapy". But I know that people with ADD or ADHD also "suffer from a lack of serotonin". Don't believe me? Look it up. "Racing thoughs and wasted time It's the same old story-line This is my nursery rhyme" Racing thoughts are something a person with ADD experiences and wasted time also happens, since they can't keep track of anything, including time. The same old story-line means that people with ADD seem like these things happen ALL the time, it's their whole life story. And the nursery rhyme could be related to people with ADD because often kids experience the disorder, and a nursery rhyme is said to kids, and an adult with ADD might be treated or looked as a kid. That's how I see it. Anyone else agree?

i think this is about depression cause it kinda reminds me alot of how i feel sometimes... maybe having a panic attak too..."panic stopped but i'm still not right racing thoughts and wasted time" that sounds like a panic attak to me.... (sorry if i spelled stuff wrong)

I think "I believe in crystal light, because I believe in me" means that he knows he's a fake, (crystal light is fake, and pretty gross actually). I don't know if that was obvious...or if my mind is totally screwed up.

I think it's mostly about how drugs (both prescribed and outlawed) might solve your problems for a while, but in the end it just ends up screwing you. Say a person has a bad leg that hurts. And not just "Ouch, that kinda hurts" hurts, an assuming-a-fetal-position-and-crying-yourself-to-sleep hurts. And that hurts. A lot. So say he starts taking some pills to ease the pain, and plans to for a long while. Soon, his body starts to get used to the pills, and it requires more and more to get the same pain-relieving effect that had when he started out. And when he's not under the pain medication, not only does his leg hurt, his head is throbbing, his vision is blurry, he's nauseated, etc etc, because its become a constant thing in his life and now the body feels it cannot function without it. Kind of like an alcoholic with his precious gin, vodka, etc etc. So he's now just a hell of a lot worse than before because of the damn pills. It's like a couple of the last lines: I'm barely off the medication and Now the walls are closing in again. The medication numbs him while on the pills, but when they wear off, he realizes he's not any different than before. He's still incredibly unhappy, some of the reasons causing him to be depressed haven't disappeared, and he's reduced to this shaking, sobbing, just plain sad mess.
