Subject: CRD: Ramones by Motorhead
Ramones
Motorhead
As with all Motorhead songs, this is played tuned down half a
step. The chords shown are the positions you play, not the
actual notes (in other words just tune down half a step and then
pretend you're in E).
Listen to the song for the exact rhythm, it should be pretty
easy to pick up.
EDE (x4)
(Verse 1.)
E D E E D E
New York City, N.Y.C.,
D A
Pretty mean when it wants to be,
ED E E D E
Black leather, knee-hole pants,
D A
Can't play no high school dance,
A B
Fuzz tone, hear 'em go, hear 'em on the radio,
(Chorus.)
A
Misfits, twilight zone,
B A
R-A-M-O-N-E-S, R-A-M-O-N-E-S,
RAMONES.
EDE (x4)
(Verse 2.)
Bad boy rock, bad boy roll,
Gabba gabba, see them go,
C. Jay now hit the gas,
Hear Marky kick some ass,
Go Johnny, go, go, go, go Tommy o-way-o,
(Chorus.)
EDE (x4)
EBF#D (x4)
D
(Verse 3.)
Bad boys then, bad boys now,
Good buddies, mau, mau, mau,
Keep it up, rock 'n' roll,
Good music save your soul,
Dee Dee, he left home,
Joey call me on the phone,
(Chorus.)

| Lemmy says he loves punk and played this with the ramones. He said he indentifies more with punk fans than metal ones and Motorhead have covered God Save the Queen by the SPs. So I think its highly likely that this is a tribute. | |
