One of the best Mudvayne songs I've ever heard, the sound is just amazing. Anyways, for the meaning, I see it as what's been previously stated, where our humanity is so screwed up, that we all need to be destroyed and start all over. With one specific lyric... 'i'm washing my hands, of everything... of everything we are' Trying to wash away the disease that is known of humanity, of everything that makes us.

When I first heard the song I had the impression he was talking about suicide also. When he says "no more...", I thought he was talking about him not having to deal with society and all of life's problems. The key to nothing he speaks of is the answer to his distress: suicide. When he says it's a small killing, he's probably talking about how it would make such a little difference to the world and nobody would pay attention if he gave up and left.

To me this song...is explaining how there's always gotta be differences, good and bad, all that. If not...it's nothing. This is a pretty cool song. It's just along the same genre as 1984, Fehrenheit 451, and damn..it what's that book...with Piggy...the kids get deserted on an island...?...

I think this song is about suicide, not someone commiting suicede but i guess the idea of suicde. "The key to nothing" is ceasing to exist, and then there is 'no more' anything. I do however like "mudvaynechick's" seasaw idea. I never thought of the song in that way, gives me something to think about:)

I think this song maybe about the retarded Idea of trying to create a utopia. Much like Mudvaynechick's seesaw theory, if we were to have a perfect place in which we live, we'd have nothing. As for hold the key.. its exactly what he said, to nothing, hence no locks. As far as murder in the hands of motion, as time being in motion eventually having nothing everyone would become numb, have no reason to live, nothing to accomplish. Anyways this is a great song, most of their songs you can interpret to your own meaning dispite the meaning the writer of the song made them to be in his own mind. Such is the glory of great music :)

I think it means something along the lines of suicide like lego9139, but i think hes talking more about death. To me death is everything that is mentioned in this song theres no more nothing, no more anything. I dont believe in life after death and thats why I like this song so much because i feel that its telling about what happens when we die. I dont care if any of you agree or dissagree with my oppionion but w/e

I think this song is about suicide too, to get away from not just his life but all life and the whole world and does anyone here no what the whispering says in the background one is 'no more nothing' and i swear the other one is 'wishful killing' but i dont know

im not sure what this means but i think its talking about how everything is a seesaw, like if you got rid of sadness there would be no happiness cause u dont kno what happiness is like because you never experience anything different. so you either have all the bad crap in the world along with the good things or you dont have anything at all. So these things cancel each other out, you cannot have one without the other. Im not really sure what the part about murder is though...

It's so simple. Chad thinks that the world is so fucked up that we need to destroy everyting and everyone and start all over again. This song is a continuation of the theme of this cd. It is not about the need for difference, but the destruction of those deferences that keep us apart.

ive just had a revelation. mabey the narrator has just done something horrible, like murder, and like i said up there, he is trying to make it more justifyable. hes thinking "if i dont do this i am unbalancing the equation, i need to be doing this."
