| i think that this song is about mudvaynes rise to the top, and all the crap they endured"shit rubbed in my face" is an example. Also I agree with the critics and mainstream media trying to change them into a commercial band, like limp bizkit. | |

| My perception of this song is heavily influenced by events that have happened to me, but this is what I have to say: I think it's about how sometimes, you just want to be who you are, but people view that as "inappropriate" or "unacceptable" and then they try to change you; not realizing that it's impossible for a person's true self to change without them wanting it to. Being a goth, I've faced a lot of that at school. But that second verse is definately about the media, I agree with yall on that one. That whole suicide(or rather assisted suicide) part in the middle is really cool, but I still cant figure out what it has to do with the rest of the song. | |

| If you had read that post with some care you would have noticed that I did not compare Mudvayne to Limp Bizkit. I said that the second verse is about the music industry tring to mold Mudvayne into a band like Limp Bizkit, trying to make them a commerical band to rake in the cash. I did not and would not compare Mudvayne to Limp Bizkit at all, it's just unthinkable! | |

| Well, I'm not so sure bout all the profound qualities of the lyrics. I just know that this is the best nu-metal (hate that) song I've heard in a while. Guaranteed to get your blood boiling on a shitty day and to piss off those fuckin' neighbours. | |

| i think what mudvayne is trying to say is that there is always some one complaining. people like to be original, think their own thoughts and act their own way. But what society doesn't realize is that everyone is original - just doesn't express it to the credibilty of other people. i think it's "unhealthy" per say, to try to fit in with other people. i don't understand why someone would want to do that. everyone has their own mind to think and feel what they please. as long as your not doing something to interferre with someone else's emotions, then you're fine. but whoever mudvayne is talkin about; getting someone to committ suicide to, their not trying to kill them.. their letting whoever that person is make their own thoughts and mistakes, but letting that person realize that it doesn't matter - that they'll be there to help you do it. | |
