I absolutly love this song! Its one of my favs on the absolution album(out of the songs
that haven't been realesed)my all time my fav on the album will be thoughts of a dying
atheist, but anyway, tis enough babbling I've got hold of the tab for endlessly(somehow
don't ask me cos can't remember coz I only worked out some parts coz I didn't wanna tab
it ou in chords coz I'm crap with chords so I've been trying to tab it out in tab form
which has actually taken me a while, but then I've taken some bits of the web and used
them instead of my bits but I didn't do it for the whole lot only parts. Anyway thats
enough talking---the whole page is like full up with words lol!

...unrequited love. This song makes me bawl every time I hear it. "hopelessly I'll love you endlessly hopelessly I'll give you everything but I won't give you up I won't let you down and I won't leave you falling but the moment never comes" I would give her everything. And I would never forsake her, and I'd always love her. ...if she ever let me.

Its the tale of his heart. He loves someone but they dont love him back... its a hopeless love and yet its endless... he would give them everything, wont let them fall, if that moment would ever come... but it wont...

this could be unrequited love. he really likes her, but sadly, she doesn't know, and probably will never like him, hence "hopelessly." but he promises that if there ever is going to be a chance for them to be together, he'd cherish and love her, and would never hurt her. in addition, as hopeless as the situation may seem, he's not going to give up and will continue to like her. sounds kind of kreepy yet sweet to me lol. but i LOVE the rhythm of this song.

This is a beautiful but sad song. He loves her desperately but for whatever reason, will never tell her. A secret love.

He loves her secretly, from afar. He's saying to himself all the things he'd love to tell her directly, if only he could get the chance. Ultimately he knows he never will, as the last line spins it into the definite: "...but the moment never comes." He'll always wait for her, even though the waiting is all he'll ever do.

i agree with em-ly, this song is love on an obsessive level. it reminds me of the song "You" by Radiohead.

This song is one of my favs. ALl the passion is amazing. Just grabs you and pulls you along for the ride. The emotional ride of being in love, not giving a person up.

I reckon its about how he desperately loves someone, but keeps it a secret from them ("cherished dreams forever asleep" and the first two lines), and how he is waiting for an opportunity to show the person how he really feels ("I won't let you down, and I won't leave you falling. If the moment ever comes.")

This song sums up everything it possibly could about the situation I am in now. Its like, I'm here waiting for the moment that he finally tells me how he feels and tells me he wants to be with me (I can tell he does partly). "Hopelessly" but without real hope, I will love him always. "but the moment never comes" which is why i know he will never come out and say it because its too late, hes graduating college and im just a lowly freshman.

Such beautiful, simple lyrics and melody. It makes me want to cry everytime I listen to it. He's like a guardian angel. Its unrequited love, but he never expects anything back from her. Unconditional. Beautiful.
